Acralight Introduces PhotoVoltaic Skylights
Utilizing the latest in photovoltaic technology, Acralight recently completed the Orange Terrace Library, in Riverside, California. This project features the Suntech hybrid system, with "See Thru" photovoltaic insulated glass in a standard photovoltaic array, with 10% transparency, which allows for natural daylighting of the gymnasium, and the generation of free electricity, while reducing glare and solar heat gain. ACRALIGHT - BIPV System for Union City, CA, BART Station - Acralight partners with Eshone Energy to provide a Building Integrated Photovoltaic canopy for the Union City, CA, BART Station. The canopies will permit free natural daylighting during daylight hours, and also generate electricity, utilizing photovoltaic glass. The electricity generated during daylight hours will power the lights during the evening hours, saving energy, and reducing the carbon footprint.
