Fluoropolymer

High performance coatings combine resin and pigment technologies to endure the toughest environmental conditions. 70% of the resin system consists of fluoropolymer, manufactured under the names of Kynar 500‚ or Hylar 5000‚ base resins.

Fluoropolymer coatings exceed the industry’s toughest performance specifications, including AAMA 2605 AN ASCA 96. The coatings are chemically inert and provide resistance against color and gloss fade as well as environmental stress such as acid rain and UV exposure.

Fluoropolymer finishes are available in two, three, and four coat applications. A wide range of standard colors are offered, or custom color matches are available using durable color pigments.

Anodize

Anodizing is a process for finishing aluminum alloys that employs electrolytic oxidation of the aluminum surface to produce a protective oxide coating. Anodizing preserves the natural luster, texture and beauty of the metal itself. The anodized coating is hard, durable, and will never peel. The coating consists of hydrated aluminum oxide and is resistant to corrosion and abrasion.

Conventional coatings are 0.1 to1.0 mil thick and are essentially transparent, although they may be colored. Acralight offers commercial and Class I architectural anodize in a variety of standard colors. Colors range from clear, champagne, and light, medium and dark bronze through black.

Powder Coat

Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of materials. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed onto a surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until heated and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high-quality and attractive finish. Powder coating surfaces are resistant to chipping, fading, and wearing and provide color-durable quality. Color selection is virtually unlimited with high gloss, low gloss and metallic options available.
